Giving support to our carnival
You will become a supporter for the carnival helping us raise money to continue to put on our amazing event every year.
Your name on our website
Once a supporter you will have your name added to our patrons section within the website to show your support for our carnival.
Why we need your support?
To bring carnival to town each year, we need to raise approximately. £15,000 to pay for the costs of the event, which includes items like:
- First aid
- Road closures
- Event insurance
- Safety equipment
- And other licences.
We do fundraising throughout the year and receive sponsorship from local businesses, town council, whilst our food vendors donate a fee for trading at the carnival.
In 2026 with cost increasing and fundraising opportunities being limited, we are seeking support from people who love carnival as much as us to become supporters of our carnival.
This will then allow us to continue to give 100% of our street collection from carnival night to charities and local organisations as we have done in previous years.
Our goal
We are aiming to sign up 1000 supporters to donate £5 which will enable us to meet the cost of staging the carnival in 2026.
Approximately 10,000 people come to watch the carnival in Shepton Mallet every year and are very generous when donating to our street collection which raises funds for our fabulous local charities and organisations.
